Once you’ve paid and completed the enrolment form, you’ll have access to the platform. Your child’s assessment is already in there, waiting for them. It’s the one thing standing between you and a start date: we use it to place your child in the right class, so until it’s done we can’t confirm when they begin.

Complete the assessment by Sunday at 11:59 pm and lessons start the following Monday. If it comes in after that, your child starts the week after instead.

So do it as soon as you log in. That’s what secures the earlier start.

Yes — you can join at any point in the year.

The class won’t go back over what it has already covered, so we give your child everything they need to catch up themselves. Every lesson recording from earlier in the year is unlocked, along with all the resources, homework and assessments the class has already done for that year group.

It all appears as outstanding tasks in their account, so they can work through it at their own pace alongside the live lessons, and get themselves up to speed with everyone else.

Yes. Lessons run every week of the year, including half-terms and the summer holidays. The only break is Christmas, from 25 December to 1 January.

That’s often when tuition matters most. A long summer is where a lot of children quietly lose ground, and the run-up to exams doesn’t stop for half-term.

We teach four levels:

• 11+ — Years 4 and 5
• KS2 — Years 3 to 6
• KS3 — Years 7 to 9
• GCSE — Years 10 and 11, and adult learners

It depends on the level:

• 11+ — Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
• KS2 — Maths and English.
• KS3 — Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• GCSE — Maths, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Live lessons run Monday to Thursday, either 6–7 pm or 7–8 pm.

You don’t have to register to see them. Go to our Get Started page, and you’ll be shown a timetable built around your child’s year group and subjects, so you can check the times work for you before you commit to anything.

Not much. A laptop or tablet, and an internet connection reliable enough for video.

If you’re on Pro, your child will also need a working camera and microphone, since Pro classes have both switched on. Most laptops and tablets have them built in.

There’s nothing to install and nothing to buy — your child joins their lessons straight from our learning platform.

We don’t offer one-off trial lessons. A single session is rarely enough for a child to settle in, let alone show progress.

The shortest block you can buy is four weeks — long enough to get a real sense of the programme. There’s no minimum term beyond that and no contract: if it isn’t working, you don’t renew. And if you’d rather keep the cost down while you try us, start with fewer subjects and add more later.

Lessons are taught live by our teachers through a private Zoom meeting, which your child joins from our learning platform. They’re never pre-recorded.

If your child has a question during the lesson, they can drop it in the chat at any time — our teachers actively moderate, so nothing gets missed.

Recordings go up every evening, which means a lesson is never really lost.

If your child can’t make one, they can watch it back and pick up everything the class covered — so missing a session doesn’t put them behind. And if they were there, it’s still theirs to return to as often as they like, whether that’s going back over a topic that didn’t quite land at the time, or revising it months later before an exam.

On Starter and Starter Plus, classes are up to 20 students — about the size of a class at a private school. Pro classes are capped at 12.

Teaching in groups is deliberate, not a compromise. Learning alongside other children encourages more questions, not fewer. A child who would never put their hand up in a room full of people will happily type a question into a chat, and once one child asks, the whole class benefits.

On Starter and Starter Plus, cameras are off. Your child takes part through the chat, with the teacher and assistants answering as they go, which removes the pressure of being put on the spot. Quiet children in school are very often the most active in our lessons.

Pro works differently. With no more than 12 in the room, cameras and microphones are on, so your child can speak to their teacher directly rather than typing.

Every question gets an answer. There’s a teacher and assistants in every lesson, and the chat is watched throughout — so when your child types a question, someone responds to it.

That’s the part parents don’t expect. A child who would never raise their hand in a classroom of thirty will happily type the same question into a chat, because nobody is looking at them while they do it. Children who are silent at school are very often the ones asking the most here.

And because they tend to get stuck on the same things, one child’s question usually clears it up for several others at once.

We teach in groups. It’s what we’re built around, and it’s where our results come from — children ask more questions with other children in the room, not fewer, and the pace of a class keeps them moving in a way that’s hard to sustain alone.

If your child needs closer attention, that’s what Pro is for: a smaller class of no more than 12, with cameras and microphones on, so they can speak to their teacher directly.

That’s not a problem. Every lesson is recorded, so your child never misses content and can rewatch any session whenever they want — which also makes the recordings useful revision material at exam time.

In some ways it’s better than school: if your child misses something, or wants to go over a topic again, they can simply watch it back at their own pace.

Yes. During lessons, students ask questions through the live chat and teachers answer out loud as they go. Because children tend to get stuck on the same things, one child’s question usually helps the whole class.

In Pro classes, cameras and microphones are on, so your child can simply speak to their teacher.

Between lessons, the AI Tutor is there 24/7 for whenever your child is stuck.

At KS3 and GCSE, Maths is taught over two sessions a week — it isn’t sold as a single session at those levels.

Maths isn’t a subject you can learn by watching. Children need to work through problems while a teacher is there to catch mistakes. Two sessions give them room to practise properly, ask questions and build confidence, rather than racing through explanations.

There’s also simply a lot of it. Spreading the syllabus over two lessons is what lets a class keep pace without cutting topics short.

If you’re taking one hour a week at KS3 or GCSE, that will be English or a single science.

We don’t pause plans.

If you’re away for a week or two, your child won’t miss anything — every lesson is recorded, so they can catch up on whatever the class covered while you were gone, at their own pace. Our lessons can also be joined from anywhere in the world, so plenty of families simply carry on while travelling.

If you need a longer break, you can stop your subscription from renewing and come back when you’re ready.

We primarily employ qualified teachers who hold QTS — Qualified Teacher Status — so they meet national teaching standards. Alongside them, we have a select group of highly experienced tutors with more than five years’ expertise in their subjects.

Our team includes graduates of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial and LSE, and many are working professionals — doctors, dentists and mathematicians — who bring both academic depth and real-world perspective to their teaching.

That matters more than it sounds. Across the UK private tutoring market, fewer than 1 in 40 tutors hold QTS, and only around 1 in 10 hold a PGCE. Most private tutors are not, in the formal sense, qualified teachers at all.

Yes. Our courses cover the full UK national curriculum for each subject, so your child is learning the same content as they are at school, at the same point in the year.

At GCSE we run separate classes for Foundation and Higher tier, and for Science we teach Triple and Combined separately — so your child is taught to their actual exam pathway rather than an average of both.

We cover the major boards — AQA, Edexcel and OCR — so your child is prepared for the specific requirements of the papers they’ll actually sit.

At GCSE we teach English Language rather than English Literature, for two reasons.

English Language is compulsory, so a strong grade matters for every student whatever else they take. And Literature is taught around specific set texts, which schools cover in depth — repeating that adds little.

Language is also the more transferable of the two. Analysing language, interpreting meaning, structuring an argument and writing clearly are the same skills Literature papers test, so students who improve in Language generally find Literature questions easier to approach as well.

Homework is set every Friday, and students have until the following Friday to complete it.

Multiple-choice questions are marked instantly — your child sees how they’ve done the moment they submit. Written questions and longer exam papers go to a teacher to be marked properly. Either way, all marks come back within five days of submission, with full worked solutions, so students can see not just what they got wrong but how it should have been done.

Assessments run monthly, with a longer window to complete them than weekly homework. They come back graded, with worked solutions.

Starter Plus and Pro also include full mock exams through the Practice module, which your child can sit whenever they want rather than waiting for a scheduled one.

The monthly assessment is a test your child sits. On Pro, the monthly written report is a separate thing — their teacher writing to you about how they’re getting on.

Through your parent portal, which every family gets, whatever package you’re on. It shows attendance, homework and how your child is getting on.

On Starter Plus and Pro, you also get Progress: scores and trends over time, your child’s own mistake log, and predicted grades with confidence levels. Both you and your child can see it.

On Pro, their teacher writes a report every month. It appears in the Progress Reports section of the portal, for both of you to read.

And it’s worth asking your child how they’re finding the lessons. Their own sense of whether a subject has clicked is often the earliest signal of all.

It’s a live session hosted by our founders. They’ll take you through what’s new on the platform and what’s coming next, and each session picks up a topic worth a parent’s time. Bring questions — there’s always time for them.

Starter covers the essentials — live lessons with a teacher, recordings, weekly marked homework, monthly assessments, your parent portal and fortnightly Parents’ Evenings.

Starter Plus adds two things. Practice gives unlimited questions by topic and full mock exams, so your child can drill the topics they’re weakest on. Progress shows you both exactly where they stand — scores over time, a mistake log and predicted grades. The AI Tutor can be added for £5 a week.

Pro includes everything in Starter Plus, plus three things: a small interactive class where cameras and microphones are on and your child can speak to their teacher directly, the AI Tutor included rather than added on, and a written report from their teacher every month.

Pro is available at KS3 and GCSE. At 11+ and KS2 we offer Starter and Starter Plus.

The AI Tutor is there 24/7, for whenever your child is stuck outside lesson time.

It’s £5 a week on Starter Plus — that’s for your whole package, not per subject and not per hour — and it’s included as standard on Pro. It isn’t available on Starter.

It depends on two things: how many subjects your child takes, and how long a plan you choose.

Both bring the price down. The more subjects you add, the lower the hourly rate. And the longer the plan, the less each lesson works out at.

We take payment through Stripe — card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Stripe handles payments for millions of businesses worldwide, so your card details go to them and never touch us.

We don’t accept bank transfers.

Cost. Our lessons start from £4 an hour. A private tutor who is a qualified teacher with real classroom experience typically costs £45–£60 an hour, and more in London.

Structure. Group lessons follow a planned curriculum with clear goals, so your child is working through a syllabus rather than whatever comes up that week.

Other children. Students learn from each other’s questions — including the ones they’d never have thought to ask.

Momentum. Being part of a class keeps children moving at the pace of the group, which is harder to sustain one-to-one.

The teachers you can reach. This is the real one. We hire from across the country, so your child can be taught by a specialist you’d have no way of finding locally. Where you live stops being a limit on who teaches your child.

Every lesson is recorded. A tutor sitting at your kitchen table gives you an hour, and when it’s over it’s gone. Ours can be watched the night before an exam again.

Nobody drives anywhere. No traffic, no waiting in the car for an hour, no rearranging the evening around a journey. Your child walks to the next room and logs in.

Yes — 25% off for every additional child, on every package. It’s applied automatically to the cheaper child’s package at checkout, so there’s nothing to set up and nobody to contact, and it stacks with your block discount.

The discount doesn’t apply to the AI Tutor add-on.

You choose the block that suits you, and longer blocks cost less per lesson:

• 4 weeks — full flexibility, at the standard rate
• 12 weeks — one term, 5% off
• 24 weeks — two terms, 10% off, the full run-up to mocks
• 52 weeks — the whole year, 10% off plus 6 weeks free, at a rate locked in to exam day

It’s available on every package, and there’s no minimum term — nothing locks you into another block.

We don’t offer weekly payments — four weeks is the shortest plan there is. Classes are planned and staffed in four-week blocks, and your child is placed with a specific teacher, so that’s the unit everything runs on.

Yes — plenty of families start with one or two subjects and add more once their child has settled in.

You can add a subject at any point during your billing cycle, and it starts as soon as we can place your child in the class. Removing a subject takes effect from your next block rather than mid-cycle, since the weeks have already been paid for.

Once you’re with us, you’ll have your own referral link in the parent portal. Share it with any family you think we’d suit, and when they enrol through it you get four weeks of tuition free.

Because it’s your link, we know it came from you. There’s nothing to mention, nothing to claim and nobody to contact — it’s tracked automatically and applied to your account.

Your free weeks match the package they choose. If it’s worth the same as yours or more, you get four weeks free outright. If it’s a lower-value package, the equivalent comes off your next bill as credit.

There’s no limit. Refer as many families as you like and the free weeks keep coming.

You do need to be with us to refer — the link lives in your parent portal, so it appears once you’re enrolled.

Yes, it’s a subscription.

At the end of your block, it renews automatically into another block of the same length, at the same rate — a 12-week plan rolls into another 12 weeks, and so on. We’ll never move you to a different or longer block than the one you chose.

We email you three days before every renewal, so nothing is ever charged without warning. If you don’t want it to renew, you can stop it at any point before then.

You can cancel renewal at any time, from the Subscriptions tab in your parent portal. We’ll email you before each renewal, so you’ll always have notice.

Weeks you’ve already paid for run their course — your child keeps full access to every lesson in that block. We don’t refund a block once it’s started.

Separately, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of your first purchase, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

We work on a subscription because tutoring works on continuity. Confidence and grades build over terms, not weeks.

Confidence is where it starts, but it isn’t all we measure. Every child sits a monthly assessment, marked with worked solutions. On Starter Plus and Pro you can see their scores and trends over time, their confidence topic by topic across the syllabus, their own log of the mistakes they keep making, and predicted grades with confidence levels — so you’re never guessing at how they’re doing.

On Pro, their teacher writes to you every month with their own view of where your child is strong and what still needs work.

Most students see their grades improve when they come consistently and keep up with the work between lessons.

But it’s worth being honest: tutoring is a long-term investment. It’s a bit like the gym — nobody expects to see a change after one session. Progress comes from turning up, doing the work and sticking with it. Short bursts of irregular support rarely move a grade.

What we focus on isn’t a quick jump before the next test, but the things that hold up in an exam hall: confidence, real subject knowledge, and knowing how to answer the question in front of you.
